High School Classes
The Argyle High School band is the largest organization at Argyle High School and has a rich history of success in both the fall during marching season and the spring during concert season. They are the EIGHT time UIL State Marching Band Gold Medalists and two time Silver Medalists and have won the ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series in concert band numerous times. They have also been named the TMEA Honor Band 3 times.
Marching Band
The 8 time state champion Argyle High School Marching Band holds the record for most state championships won of any marching band, regardless of classification, in Texas. These students have to advance from the Region marching contest, make finals at area, be in the top 3 or 4 bands at the area level, then place in the top 10 at the State Marching Contest to advance to finals, where these rankings are finalized. The Argyle Marching Band has not only advanced to State, but they have made finals every single year at the UIL State Marching contest.

Wind symphony
Wind Symphony is an advanced performing ensemble made up of the top musicians in the entire band program. This class is the equivalent of an AP or Dual Credit class in terms of rigor and workload. Students in this band must be very proficient on their instruments and must be willing to commit to regular rehearsal and practice time. Wind Symphony students will have weekly sectionals as well as some extra full band rehearsals throughout the year. Students in this band are expected to participate in all scheduled rehearsals, concerts, performances, and contests.
All students are expected to participate in the Solo & Ensemble Contest. It is also HIGHLY recommended that students participate in the district supplemental private lesson program.
Wind Symphony is under the direction of Mr. Bird and has received Best in Class festival awards and has consistently been awarded Sweepstakes at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest. This Ensemble was named the 2022 Class 4A Honor Band by the Texas Music Educators Association.

The Argyle High School Wind Symphony has also been named a winner of the ATSSB Outstanding Performance series competition multiple times.

Symphonic winds
Symphonic Winds is an advanced performing ensemble at Argyle High School. Symphonic Band is the equivalent of compacted math or a Pre-AP level content. Students in this band must be very proficient on their instruments and must be willing to commit to regular rehearsal and practice time. Symphonic Winds students will have regular sectional rehearsals weekly as well as some extra full band rehearsals throughout the year. Students in this band are expected to participate in all scheduled rehearsals, concerts, performances, and contests.

Students in this band must be willing to commit to regular rehearsal and practice time. Symphonic Band students will have regular sectional rehearsals weekly as well as some extra full band rehearsals throughout the year. Students in this band are expected to participate in all scheduled rehearsals, concerts, performances, and contests.

Colorguard / Winterguard
Our Colorguard is the group of students who performs choreographed dances and routines along with various equipment from flags, to sabers and rifles. They perform and travel with the Argyle High School Marching Band!
